Viromarkers at HIV&Hep 2025!

Many Viromarkers partners in Barcelona for the 23rd European Meeting on HIV & Hepatitis! Amongst them were EuResist, the University of Siena, University of Rome Tor Vergata, the Karolinska Institutet and MIB GmbH!


Lorenzo Piermatteo and Stefano D'Anna from the University of Rome Tor Vergata presented “A High Degree of Genetic Variability Characterises HDV Sub-Genotypes 1 and Can Drive the Selection of Divergent Genetic Pathways Modulating HDV Replicative Potential and Cytolytic Activity" and "Chronic HDV Co-Infection Is Characterized by a More Elevated Production of All Three HBsAg Isoforms Compared to HBV Mono-Infection, That Parallels HDV Replicative and Cytolytic Activity", respectively.
